The main difference between Western and Islamic art is that the latter is mainly decorative, whereas Western art today is mostly about self expression.
It is interesting to observe how Islamic art is slowly moving more towards self expression, and how that is manifesting in various ways.
The exhibition gathers together a great variety of art and design forms from craft and textiles to architecture and painting.
