Eduardo Paolozzi was first in few areas in art; e.g. introducing pop art. He is probably best known for collage works, which look surprisingly fresh and timeless today. Especially, the unfaded strong colours of 60’s palettes are fantastically trendy right now.
What makes Eduardo Paolozzi stand out from many other artists of his time is his original talent for using different art forms and media together – combining print, graphics, film, painting, textiles and sculptors.
One of the best examples of his public artwork is the mosaic design at the Tottenham Court Road tube station (1986), which has just been restored.
