Mainstream sandwich chain Pret-a-Manger opens a pop up store in London to experiment with vegan only food offer.
The food chain plays down the idea by calling it a pop up, not a concept store. Actually, it is just one of their stores redesigned as a vegan only option. The design and most of the offer remains the same as in other stores, but meat and fish has been replaced with vegan only ingredients.
The main purpose seems to be to gather initial feedback from the customers that can be used when designing a new offer. This direction is clearly a well argumented one, as vegan food sector is growing and customers are under served at the moment.
