Organised by Wallpaper magazine and Dubai Design District exhibition called Middle East Revealed presented emerging artists and designers from seven countries from Lebanon to Iran, Jordan to UAE.
What is common for all designs is the exploration of new identity that has both cultural elements and inspiration from the Middle East combined with modernity and contemporary forms. Designers aim is to bridge the gap between Western and Arab identities. It is refreshing to see how traditional Arabic motifs and geometrical patterns have been applied to different products in modern ways.
Middle East is extremely rapidly evolving continent, and following how design can be used as a part of emerging identity can give great insight into the markets.
