Variety and quality of outdoor materials was one of the strongest trends at this years boutique hotel design Sleep Event. Development is probably due to changes in the weather; in some parts of the world the winters are warming up because of the climate change.
Here is a random selection of material choices from this year’s Sleep Event. Compared to last year, I got a feeling that I have seen it all before. Most material choices were very “safe” following same trends as the last couple of years e.g. in textiles very warm colours, lots of metallics, sophisticated textures.
In the bathroom sector there was a lot of simple and clean line design, playing with contrasts of very dark tiles and walls with very light wood, creating a nice and calm mood.
