It is still hard to find a decent, local wine bar in London. Sager and Wilde is a rare find in part of East London, which is just becoming up-and-coming. Opening a wine bar in this area is a sure sign of it.

The interior is also a suitably industrial, dark and understated to fit the somewhat grim local area. The center piece is an amazing bar desk. It looks like made of a salvaged, antique stained glass wall with iron cast detailing.
Great service and welcoming atmosphere are another reason that has created an instant hit with the wine lovers.
