Artificial Microclimate Park to Moscow

Zaryadye park designed by the New York’s High Line designers Diller Scofidio + Renfro will be situated in a wasteland area close to the Kremlin in Moscow.

The plan will divide the territory into four zones landscapes that are typical of different parts of Russia: tundra, steppe, forest and marsh. Each will have a different feel and represent artificial microclimates designed according to the principles of “wild urbanism“, according to the designers, creating “a clear system of interaction between nature and the city”.

Zaryadye will be the first new park to be built in Moscow for half a century and construction should be completed by 2016.
