The name of the exhibition Breathing Colour at the Design Museum in London comes from light’s ability to make colours come to life. It has been put together by a famous Dutch textile designer Hella Jongerius. Going through the exhibition is a visual learning experience about the use of colour in industrial design.

‘Tenda’ is a series of textile lamps launching at the London Design Festival as a result of Benjamin Hubert’s materials driven research. ‘Tenda’ Italian for tent is comprised of materials from a diverse mix of industries: Fibre glass rods from the kite manufacturing industry, Lycra from the sports industry, stretch mesh from the underwear industry and a construction technique from the tent industry.
