Urban Roof Gardening

In dense city areas better utilising of rooftops in multiple ways is a growing trend.  It is all about a growing need of how to make cities more self-sufficient and resilient. One great example is the Dalston Rooftop Park. 

The large solar panels power the busy event hot-spot and keeps the Bootstrap building sustainable. A team of local gardeners volunteer to keep the garden in a great shape. It is a a social enterprise providing spaces to work, congregate and celebrate in Dalston. The rooftop designed by Designed by Zector Architects is part of the Print House, a four-storey former factory which is home to the innovative Bootstrap Company.
